Show notes

In today’s episode, I speak with my dear friend and fellow coach Bec Wilcock. Bec is a coach and endurance Athlete, Co/Founder: @her_trails @her_sports, and coach @nike.  Bec has a Bachelor of Exercise Science and over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry. She has worked 1:1 with elite athletes as a personal trainer and reached millions of runners worldwide through her work with the Nike Running Club (NRC) and now HerTrails.

Her Trails is a global female adventure platform empowering women to discover their resilience, self-reliance and play through connecting to the trail, nature and themselves. I have the privilege of being the Her Trails Women’s Health Guru. I’ve also been on the Her Trails Podcast twice talking about finding your own unique recipe for performance, the menstrual cycle and training and perimenopause.

Bec pitched an idea/theme for our podcast episode – "Strength is built under load". And I fell in love with this idea/concept (you know I love a good ol’ concept to ruminate on). We also talk about her story, low energy availability, training and pregnancy myths and running.
